Steep was my first game as a Character Artist for Ubisoft (Annecy)
I had the chance to work on the "Road to the Olympics" DLC, mainly focusing on the assets like the Spandex suits, with and without the bib, bibs for existing Winter jacket assets, and the White Tiger Mascot, Soohorang. From High Poly to Textures. For the country Textures, it was a teamwork effort !
The tricky part was that I needed to make the Spandex suits, the Winter Jackets and the Bibs, for Male and Female, with matching UVs. So Any texture we would create would be shared for both genders. We also had to make it look nice with extreme positions, and not too stretchy to stay visible and recognizing for each country. It was challenging but I learned a lot !
For the Mascot costume, we wanted to be as close as the original logo Mascot, and giving it that Human cosplay costume look, with the chubby shapes and a Velvet texture.
